✨ MEET THE PUP ✨
What’s your name: Tchaikovsky aka Chai
What’s your Instagram username: @chai_thedalmatian
When’s your birthday: 01/11/2021
What breed are you: Dalmatian
Favourite colour: Red (like Pongo!)
Favourite toy: Enrichment ball
What’s something you’re afraid of: Fireworks
What’s a bad habit of yours: Taking slippers and hats to start chase!
What’s the naughtiest thing you have done? Chew Mums favourite block heels (ultimately she blames herself for leaving them out, but she's still hurting months later)
Do you have a nickname: Cheeky Chai
Share a funny story or a fun fact about you: My first ever poo in my new home was in Mums hands! I was exploring my new house then suddenly I had the 'poo rush' and dropped low into a squat position. Mum had only a few seconds to save her cream carpet and decided the only thing for it was to place her hands under my bum to prevent any damage. She has broken through many a poo bag since with her fingers and thus, she was destined to have my poo on her hands at some point.
What’s your favourite THB treat: Iced doughnut biscuits! They are delicious! Mum tries to get me to wait for them but I just can't!
✨ MEET THE HUMAN BEHIND THE ACCOUNT ✨
What’s your name: Neha
How did you choose your dog's name (does it have a meaning): One of my favourite movies is Beethoven. In the second movie, Beethoven has puppies and names one of them Tchaikovsky. I also drink Chai (tea) every morning and so Chai seemed very fitting.
What is the best thing about your dog: We taught Chai 'middle' by loading him up with treats and now he'll push his snout between everyones legs for treats. Some find this intrusive but Chai finds it offensive when he is not rewarded with a treat for a snout between the legs
What is the hardest thing about being a pet owner: You want your dog to have the best life and balancing that responsibility with work and home life is difficult and stressful.
What is the most rewarding thing about being a pet owner: From the moment I see Chai, his eyes light up, his tail wags, he howls, shows his Dalmatian smile and showers me/bulldozes me with lots of kisses. It's such a warming feeling that I am blessed to have every day. We truly do not deserve dogs (and our wonderful cat, Bella) but with the help of small businesses like the Healthy Barkery, we can go some way in showing them our appreciation and a token of our love (IS THAT TOO CHEESY BECAUSE I MEAN IT LOL)
